Praying for RTIM

Reaching and Teaching International Ministries exists to reach the peoples of the world through evangelism and by meeting the great need for deep discipleship, pastoral preparation, leadership training, and theological education around the world. Ultimately we recognize that these are needs met not by the wisdom of man, but by the hand of God. As such, it is Him to whom we plead and upon whom we depend. We can go and we can instruct, but without His power, the fruit of disciples and trained leaders will not be seen. As such, we are seeking those who would join us in prayer- for our work, our leadership, our partnerships, and those to whom we are ministering around the world.

Christ actually meant prayer to be the great power by which His church should do its work and the neglect of prayer is the great reason the church has not greater power over the masses in Christian and heathen countries…The power of the church to truly bless rests on intercession: asking and receiving Heavenly gifts to carry to men.”
-Andrew Murray, South African Pastor & Writer

"Prayer is the greatest power God has put into our hands for service — praying is harder than doing, at least I find it so, but the dynamic lies that way to advance the Kingdom."
-Mary Slessor, Missionary to Nigeria

"The history of missions is the history of answered prayer. From Pentecost to the Haystack meeting in New England and from the days when Robert Morrison landed in China to the martyrdom of John and Betty Stam, prayer has been the source of power and the secret of spiritual triumph."
-Samuel Zwemer, Pioneer Missionary to the Muslim World

It is possible for the most obscure person in a church, with a heart right toward God, to exercise as much power for the evangelization of the world, as it is for those who stand in the most prominent positions.”
John R. Mott, founder of YMCA, lay missions leader
